During the online application process for both a regular visa and an e-Visa, a 12-character Application ID is issued upon successful submission of the application form. This ID can be used to check on the progress of the visa application.

Regular Visa applicants will find the Application ID on the receipt issued by Indian Mission/Agent through which application was submitted.

e-Visa applicants are provided the Application ID in the Acknowledgement Message and printed application form.

After the Indian visa approval is received, the approved Indian Visa will be issued within a minimum of three working days, depending on the country of origin.
